Disney Junior is often on in our home. BG’s current favourite is Doc McStuffins she now wants a clinic in the garden! Last year it was all about Jack and the Neverland Pirates which lead to great Pirate birthday party.
Last week Disney UK announced the launch of Disney Junior Appisodes, a groundbreaking interactive app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch that combines viewing and interaction with Disney Junior’s TV characters and well-loved stories.
Disney Junior Appisodes offers true interactive viewing, allowing fans 2-7 to touch, tap, swipe, tilt, shake and talk their way through various fun-filled activities embedded into some of their favorite Disney Junior shows, allowing families to experience and interact with their favourite characters and take them wherever they go. The first Disney Junior Appisode, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, is free to download in the App Store, with the Mickey and Donald Have a Farm Appisode and Jake and the Never Land Pirates Appisode, featuring ‘Hide the Hideout’ and ‘Captain Hook’s Hooks’, available to downloaded from £2.99.
Following on from the recent success of the Doc McStuffins chart topping app, future Appisodes are planned for Doc McStuffins and also Sofia the First in the coming months.
I have a One Year subscription to giveaway to one lucky winner. The winner will receive voucher codes which will allow them to purchase the additional Disney Junior Appisodes released over the next year.

We were recently sent some Griffin Technology gadgets for the ipad to try out.
No.2 Pencil Stylus
No. 2 Pencil Stylus is a handy tool for writing, sketching and tapping on any touchscreen
BG used the pencil in her many drawing apps and really liked it. Its light weight and moves around the screen easily. The rubber tip means it won’t scratch your screen.
It’s easy to use and means no smudging our drawing. You can use it to tap apps as well.
BG liked using it to draw but I prefer to use my fingers on the ipad I find it easier. Great if you use the ipad to draw and design or using a writing app but not something we would invest in for the family.
SeeSaw Table Top Stand
SeeSaw turns iPad 2, 3 & 4 into a stable yet portable workstation
Now this I love! You pop your ipad in and it allows you to use it as a work station or tv without trying to balance it. You can sit it on the table, the sofa (see below) or your lap.
Its super lightweight and has a handle to carry it around. It’s designed so you can still plug it in to charge, access to volume and take pictures. I worry less about BG carrying the ipad around in this and it’s secure in the SeeSaw.
We often read ebooks to BG at night in the ipad and this has made it a big easier to hold the ipad it makes it seem lighter. Sometimes I have to take Little Miss up with me and I can now have the ipad at the right angle to read whilst holding her as well.
A great idea and a great product to have for your ipad. Big thumbs up from us.
Both are available from griffintechnology.com who ship to the UK

Porkchop and Mouse children’s book app for iPad.
Available from:The App store.
Suitable from:Preschool 2-5
Initial Reaction: I showed this app to my three year old. He immediately wanted to explore the picture, and enjoying the results.
Pro’s:This is a really good app for my three year old. He can explore the pictures and have the story read to him. My five year old can change mode and read the story for himself, so it works for slightly older children as well.
Con’s: it was difficult to turn the page, took us a while to figure it out. We recently got an update which gives a page turning tutorial so I presume a number of people had the same problems.
Value for money:It is a reasonable price for this type of app.
Overall Reaction:Overall I really liked this app. It is fun and educational for both my older children.
