Every time Little Miss sees a Lalaloopsy on TV she begs for one of her own as BG owns a few. When we were offered the chance to test of the Lalaloopsy Babies Potty Surprise how I could say no.
Now it is a little on the quirky side, you basically feed Jewel Sparkles her food and she poops shapes for you. I know a lot of parents would be horrified but it’s actually a lot of fun.
The ‘food’ is a bit like magic sand so it moulds together really well, makes little mess and doesn’t dry out (Little Miss has had the pot open for two weeks and it’s still going strong. You feed the doll one spoonful and then twist her belly button, you then press a release button and the jewel pops into the potty.
You can make 4 different shapes and it comes with three different coloured foods. You also get a bowl and a potty. She comes with pants and a dummy.
Little Miss plays with her several times a day, she comes for breakfast and dinner with us.
The shapes are not always perfect; I find if you twist the belly button twice you get a better shape but to be fair Little Miss doesn’t really care.
She has been a big hit in our house and even BG wants to get in on the action.
Lalaloopsy Babies Potty Surprise doll is priced at £29.99 and suitable for ages 4 and up
There are two other new dolls in the Autumn/Winter range the Princess Style N Swap range and Glitter Hair Dough Doll. Keep your eye out for them!
Available from all good toy retailers.
BG has never really been one to play with babies sort of girl but Little Miss is obsessed with them. She loves real ones and toy ones. She feeds them, rocks them and lays them down to sleep and it is so sweet to see.
I had been planning of getting her a wooden pram and cradle for Christmas, so when Tesco asked me if I would like to test of the Emmi Wooden Cradle I could hardly say no.
It arrived ready to assemble so I set OH to work.
It was really easy for him to do. The instructions are really clear and it took less than 10 minutes to put together.
It’s really sturdy and actually much larger than I thought it would be. Little Miss loves wrapping her baby up and rocking her to sleep in her new cradle.
At £20 I think it’s a really brilliant wooden cradle and would make an awesome Christmas present for any child. There are other items available in the Emmi such a high chair, car seat, 2 in 1 pram carrier and bath set.
The Emmi Wooden Cradle is also part of a 2 for £30 offer they are currently running so you can get even better value for money. You can also get free click and collect from store.
I have a Emmi Wooden Cradle to giveaway to one lucky reader. A little help with the Christmas shopping this year.

It’s funny but until Little Miss came along BG has never been that bothered with dolls. She tended tom play with them for 5 minutes and then gets bored, but now she is obsessed with dolls. So is Little Miss and she has claimed BG’s dolls has her own and BG being a brilliant big sister lets her have them. When I was offered the My First Baby Annabell® Let’s Play Doll to review I knew this would be perfect for BG and she could have a doll just for her.
The My First Baby Annabell® Let’s Play doll comes with a bottle for feeding a cute sheep to cuddle but that’s not all it’s an interactive doll.
It sucks on her bottle, burps, make sleeping noises, giggle’s and babbles. You have to hold and tilt her in different positions to get some of the sounds to work but once you have worked it out it will go on for ever. BG loved working out how to get her to make all the noises. I have to have after half an hour it start to get a little irritating for me, it’s the perfect doll to played in a bed room or outside!
BG loves playing with her My First Baby Annabell® Let’s Play doll. She wraps her in a blanket at night and takes her bed with her. She has asked for a new dolls pram and a cot for her.
It is a really nice doll perfect for child who loves playing babies.
The My First Baby Annabell® Let’s Play is available from Amazon £23.99, Smyth’s Toys £22.49, Argos £23.99

Earlier this year we were chosen to be part of the DKL Bloggers team. We recently received our first toy to test out.
BG was sent a Chloe Ballerina from the Les Cheries Corolle and Hair Care set to play with.
What I first noticed about this doll is the size it’s not a big baby doll or a tiny fashion doll it was a nice size for BG to play with properly. I normally find dolls a bit creepy but not this one.
BG loved her from the moment she set eyes on her proceeded to spend ages playing with her hair and making her dance.
What We Liked:
- Her hair
- The clothes are really well made and easy to remove and put back on
- It’s a sturdy doll, it doesn’t look like it will break easily
- She comes in a lovely ballerina outfit.
- Appropriate clothing
- A good size
- Not creepy looking (for mummy)
- Hours of fun
- You can buy extra sets of clothing for your doll
What We Didn’t Like:
- Trying to get her out of her packing
Overall a big thumbs up from BG
Corolle have a large selection of dolls and accessories from babies to mini dolls. They would make a great Christmas gift for any child.

I found them on Play Merrily, Amazon, Tesco and Alex and Alexa. You can find a list of Corolle Dolls stockists on the DKL Website.
Lalaloopsy™ dolls (RRP £26.99) were once just ordinary rag dolls that magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn, taking on the personality of the fabrics used to make them. They live in a fantastical world full of silly surprises and each character was ‘sewn on’ a special date in history to reflect their personality.
There are four new characters to collect in the range this autumn including Mint E. Stripes, Teddy HoneyPots, Haley Galaxy and Confetti Carnivale.
We are giving you the chance to win the adorable Lalaloopsy Teddy HoneyPots. She was made from a teddy bear. She’s very warm and fuzzy. Her favourite things are giving big hugs and climbing trees. She loves taking long naps in winter and sometimes eats honey ’til her tummy aches. She has a pet bee. She was sewn on 10th July (Teddy Bear Picnic Day).

I was on the lookout for a large playmat for Little Miss. We have some lovely little ones which are great for taking out with us and were perfect when she didn’t move but now she is rolling and crawling we needed something larger. So when Argos contacted me and asked me if I want to review something from the Chad Valley Baby range I knew straight away their Large Baby Playmat (£29.99) was the one for me.
The playmat is a really good size, big enough for two children to play on. It’s really bright and has a mirror, plastic teething rings, a butterfly and different sounds. It’s also padded.
Little Miss automatically went for the teething rings! She likes rolling around the playmat and playing with the different elements.
The playmat is just the right size for our living room and folds up small and goes into the toy box for an easy tidy up.
If you are looking for a large baby playmat that this is a great choice. At £29.99 it’s not going to completely break the bank and you will get a lot of use out of it.
The Chad Valley Large Baby Playmat is currently half price £14.99 which is a bargain! Would make a great new baby gift or put aside for Christmas.
Argos have a great selection of Chad Valley Baby products.
