Get Dressed Up This Halloween With Aldi

It’s no secret that I am a huge Aldi fan. I do a lot of my grocery and non-grocery shopping there. I was in fact there today getting my fruit and veg for the week.

On Thursday 3rd October their Halloween range will be in store ready for you to plan your Halloween parties. Aldi sent BG a costume to try out and it came at just the right time as in a few weeks is a local Pumpkin Parade. We celebrate the local Pumpkin harvest with a market, music, food, a parade, fireworks and a children’s fancy dress competition. Even though the parade isn’t actually linked to Halloween most children dress in Halloween costumes.

BG has the Batrella costume. It’s a red and black dress with a black beaded necklace which has a bat on it.

Aldi's Halloween Range

She really likes it and at £3.99 even if I had bought it myself it would have broken the bank. It’s in size 5-6 and fits nicely, I like a longer length dress as BG will wear throughout the year. It will added to her dressing up collection.

Other children’s dressing up sets include Catsuit, Neon Stripe Witch, Skeleton, Vampire and Pumpkin. They also have a adults range for £7.99 which includes a Vampire, Skeleton Dress and Witch.

They also have accessories, glow sticks, pumpkin carving sets, bunting, party ware and kitchen ware and much, much more.

I was sent some of the silicon ice and cake trays last year and they are great and I still use them.

If you are throwing a Halloween party this year then get on down to Aldi on Thursday.

Be quick as once it’s gone its gone.

Aldi’s £4 Uniform Bundle

BG starts school in September so we have been looking around for uniform for her. Tomorrow Aldi launches its school uniform range in stores and for those of you on a tight budget it’s really affordable.

You can get two polo shirts, a pair of trousers or a skirt and a round neck jumper for £4, that’s all of them for £4 total!

Actually they have a lot of great prices on all their uniform range:

Boys Padded Jacket £9.99
Boys Trousers £1.50
Girls Padded Jacket £9.99
Girls Pinafore £2.99
Girls Pleated Skirt £1.50
Girls Trousers £1.50
Boys Ankle Socks 5s £1.49
Boys Briefs 5s/Boys Boxers 3s £1.69
Boys Knitted V Neck Jumper £1.99
Boys Plain Polo £1.25
Boys SS Shirt £1.99
Boys Vests 3s £1.99
Aldi sent us some polo shirts, a grey skirt and a pink padded jacket for BG. They feel good quality and the skirt is Teflon coated. I shall be popping out tomorrow to pick her up some more bits.

They also have stationary, lunch boxes and school bags.

Be quick because once they are gone they are gone!

Easter Eggs from Aldi

I do love being a blogger especially when they send me chocolate! Now that Little Miss is born and I no longer has gestational diabetes I can eat it again.

ALDI sent me 3 eggs to try out:

Choceur Flame Egg – £2.99, 350g

Choceur Decorated Easter Bunny – £1.99, 200g

Moser Roth Egg & Chocolates – £3.99, 249g

They all tasted rather nice though I prefer the Moser Roth chocolate. I often buy their mini bars and they are lovely. I didn’t like many of the chocolates that came in the egg and actually preferred the chocolates in the Flame egg.

The decorated bunny looks great and would be an ideal gift for a child though it is rather large!

ALDI had a great selection on Easter treats in store now. They will also have Easter meats in soon.

Halloween 2012 with ALDI

Aldi sent us some Halloween goodies to test out, this is what they sent us:

We decide to give the cupcakes a go and this is how they turned out.

They were really easy to make and BG had a great time doing them. A great way to spend an afternoon and perfect for any spooky party.

We taste tested the chocolate and it is rather nice we are saving the rest for our Halloween Party along with the face paints.

Aldi has quite a Halloween collection in store so if you are looking to do a Halloween party then check them out.
